Monday, August 9, 2021

IRVING TX – CHC Helicopter announced the theme for the 2021 CHC Safety & Quality Summit and formally issued the Call for Papers of the event. The 16th annual Summit will take place at the Westin Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas (Irving, Texas) October 19-20.  This year’s theme is “2020 Hindsight: Did Anyone See That Coming?”

Last year’s event (2020) was postponed due to the global pandemic and was the first time since 2004 that the annual Summit could not take place.  The onset of the pandemic has fed into the theme to be used for the forthcoming event which will explore topics relevant to the theme “2020 Hindsight: Did Anyone See That Coming?” and will look at whether we need to change the way we identify future hazards as well as how we learn most effectively from previous events.

Potential speakers will have until August 31st to submit entries to lead one or more of the 90-minute sessions during the two-day event. Submissions should be submitted on the summit website ( www.chcsafetyqualitysummit.com) and include proposed titles, a description or outline, objectives and audience benefits, a brief speaker biography and contact information.  For additional information, interested speakers are encouraged to email summit@chcheli.com.

Relevant topics may include (but are not limited to):

  • Hazard/Risk Management
  • Technology and Safety
  • Crisis Management
  • Organizational Leadership and Viability
  • Human Factors
  • Unintended Consequences
  • Collaboration on Safety
  • Enterprise Risk
